My Kids

Here's a few good shots of the middle school kids. These are my students. What a great group of kids. These children comprise an exceptional variety of nationalities, abilities and peronalities. I never thought I could love teaching young people this much. Their home countries include: Azerbiejan, Indonesia, Argentina, The Netherlands, Kazakhstan, Pakistan and Malaysia. Best of all, Carrie and I have them as our students. We have taught several collaborative classes together in Art and History culminating in the project featured in this picture displaying their presentation of various examples of Islamic Imperial tile work through the ages. It has been a learning experience for me due to the fact that I've had to assume a 'generalist' role in teaching all subjects to this middle school bloc. I never pictured myself teaching math and science but have made big strides since the beginning of the year.
